Welcome to the website of the Paralegal Association of the Permian Basin (PA/PB)! Is it really 2008??
We invite you to browse the various links and explore the wealth of information available on such topics as upcoming Continuing Legal Education seminars offered by PA/PB, the Midland County Bar Association (MCBA) and the Ector County Bar Association. We update the calendar listings as often as possible and plan to include special meeting notices for the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas (PD), TAPA conferences, and other educational opportunities within the State of Texas.
We are very proud of the various projects our membership supports throughout the year, so be sure to click on that tab. Our Calendar will be updated as often as necessary along with the News section, which boasts a Job Bank and other exciting sub-categories. Our Association sponsors a Spring CLE Seminar every year. This year's promises to be a very interesting seminar entitled Law Offices in the Internet Age. Our 1st Vice President, Jan McDaniel, will represent the Association at TAPA this year - April 4 - 5, in Ft. Worth, Texas. For more information about TAPA 2008, please see TAPA.
Under the Join Us tab, you have the opportunity to join a great group of very interesting people in the legal profession by completing the application for membership. We now have three categories for membership: Active, Associate, and our new Sustaining Membership, offered to lawfirms, vendors and individuals who are interested in supporting and promoting the paralegal profession.
Should you find that you would like additional information about PA/PB, please click on the Officers tab. There you will find a listing of all of the Officers and Committee Chairs along with phone and email information for each. I encourage you to contact any of these individuals, or other members of PA/PB for answers to inquiries regarding the paralegal profession, membership in the Association, the Certified Paralegal (CP)/Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) Examination, the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) and our monthly luncheon meetings.
Now that you have opened the door for information, come on in and explore. I promise you will be pleased with the information, the contacts, and the friends you make with the Paralegal Association of the Permian Basin!
