Kim obtained her Paralegal degree in 1992 in Virginia Beach, Virgina and earned her CLA certification from NALA in 1998. She began her legal career in late 1992 doing contract work in Midland, Texas. She obtained a full-time job working for Paul K. Williams at the Williams & Kirk law firm in February of 1993, performing legal assistant work in the fields of criminal, family, and bankruptcy. In 1996, Kim change to part-time status and continued to work with Mr. Williams, but also took a position working for Bill Seltzer, Attorney at Law, in Midland, working in the oil and gas field. In February 1998, Kim began working for the firm of Allen, Allen & Roosa, working in the fields of family, probate and guardianship, criminal, and bankruptcy. In June, 2007, Kim moved to the firm of Stubbeman, McRae, Sealy, Laughlin & Browder, Inc., where she works in the fields of civil litigation and family law. Kim has been a member of PA/PB (formerly LAA/PB) since 1999 and has served in various capacities, including Vice-President of Membership, Education Chair, Program Chair and Legal Assistant of the Year Chair. She was recently elected to the position of Director of District 11, Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas.
